CONSERVATION LAW FOUNDATION HEADQUARTERS, BOSTON, MA.
The Conservation Law Foundation forges lasting solutions to environmental challenges for the people of New England. Peter Lyons Design partnered with CLF Leadership and Jonathan Austin Architects of Cambridge to create an interior space that connects employees to the mission of the organization, creates a sense of home, and initiates storytelling. We infused the space with both low-tech, high-touch elements and digital elements that were flexible and could easily respond to daily programming needs.

athenahealth, Inc. provides cloud-based services for health care and point-of-care mobile apps. It has 4,000+ employees and connects more than 85,000 providers and health systems nationwide. It's mission is to help deliver better care for all. Over the span of almost 10 years, Peter Lyons Design partnered with athenaHealth, athenaEnvironment and athenaMarketing and Communications to conceptualize, design and fabricate a range of physical and digital instillations that aimed to make soft connections to the brand, celebrate the company culture and reveal work that happens “behind the curtain”. We infused spaces with elements that create a sense of home across multiple geographies. We viewed these elements and visual artifacts as cultural anchors that created a unique and magnetic sense of place. During that time, Peter also worked with various internal stakeholders to design marketing material, landing pages and digital assets.
ACACIA COMMUNICATIONS
Acacia Communications specializes in the development of high speed, coherent optical interconnect products for cloud infrastructure operators and content and communication service providers. When Acacia designed it’s new headquarters in Maynard, MA with John LaFreniere Architects, Peter Lyons Design was engaged to upgrade the expression of the brand and infuse the physical space with images that make soft connections to the Acacia’s mission and products. Peter also worked on the lab spaces located in the famous Bell Labs building in Holmdel, NJ.
HARVARD LAW LIBRARY wall concept. library of congress, K Classification - law
We were engaged by Jonathan Austin Architects and the Harvard Law Library to develop a wall concept for the 2020 library renovation. We developed a design that utilized the entire Library of Congress K classification for law books. The wall was designed to have multiple viewing distances with a low contrast, granular look and feel.
Cafe Artscience & Le laboratoire, cambridge
Le Laboratoire is an interdisciplinary culture lab that showcases artists, designers, and chefs who are working at the frontiers of science and innovation. Le Laboratories and Cafe ArtScience was founded by Harvard Professor David Edwards. Peter Lyons Design was engaged to create a brand identity to ensure consistency across printed materials, signage, and interior visual elements in the spaces.
WGBH EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, BOSTON
WGBH is a public media powerhouse that serves New England, the nation and the world with content that informs, inspires and entertains. WGBH produces educational content for television, radio and the Web. While at WGBH I worked as the design lead creating and producing elements for the new headquarters, including programmable lobby screens, the two story exterior digital screen, and interior wall murals highlighting various departments and productions.
